Does CFC offer an automatic dividend reinvestment plan?
Yes. If you are a registered shareholder of just one share of CFC stock, you may enroll in the Shareholder Investment Plan which gives you the option to have your dividends automatically reinvested in CFC stock with a minimal service and brokerage fee. Computershare administers the Shareholder Investment Plan, which makes it easy to elect to make additional purchases through the Automatic Account Deduction and/or Voluntary Cash Purchase programs. If you are holding a dividend check, you should cash it as soon as possible. To verify the status of a check that you are holding or to request a replacement check, contact Cincinnati directly at 513-870-2639.

How can I calculate my capital gain or loss on CFC shares?
Capital gain or loss generally is equal to the difference between the price at which you sold a share of CFC stock and the price you paid for that share, adjusted for all stock splits and stock dividends.

Each shareholder is responsible for maintaining records that show the cost basis of your shares to use in making that calculation.

What is CFC’s main business?
Insurance. Cincinnati Financial Corporation (CFC) is the parent company for a group of insurance companies collectively known as The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. For 2004, we ranked as the 26th largest property casualty insurance company in the United States based on net written premiums. CFC Investment Company complements the insurance subsidiaries with commercial leasing and financing services. CinFin Capital Management Company provides asset management services to institutions, corporations and individuals. CSU Producer Resources is a wholly owned brokerage subsidiary that will provide exclusive access for our independent agencies to our excess and surplus lines insurance products.

What type of insurance does Cincinnati provide?
We sell property casualty insurance and life insurance. In 2005, 71 percent of our net earned premiums came from commercial lines of insurance, while personal lines accounted for 26 percent. Life insurance, including disability income insurance and annuities, contributed 3 percent. In 2008, we will begin offering excess and surplus lines insurance through our property casualty insurance agencies.
