Cincinnati was one of just 13 companies whose names have appeared on the list for 10 consecutive years.
In compiling the Ward’s 50, Cincinnati-based insurance consulting firm Ward Financial Group studied statutory information and proprietary data to recognize insurers that have excelled at balancing safety, consistency and performance over the past five years. Ward then benchmarked the companies’ performance with the industry overall, this year identifying best practices among the top 50 in the areas of distribution systems, claims and loss control.
Ward studied more than 2,700 property/casualty companies and more than 1,300 life/health insurers. Cincinnati was one of only 10 insurers to make both the property/casualty and the life benchmark lists.
