country have ranked The Cincinnati Insurance Companies (CIC) as the top
writer of commercial property and casualty insurance for 1999.
The ranking by Crittenden’s Insurance Markets’
Property/Casualty Ratings (January 3, 2000) was compiled from six
surveys on commercial lines coverages. Agents rated 20 carriers on accessibility
and timely response to inquiries; flexibility on conditions and exclusions;
timeliness in quoting premiums; pricing; technical competence and expertise; and
payment of claims. Cincinnati led each category.

Agents surveyed by Crittenden’s said Cincinnati
differentiates itself with outstanding claims service, underwriting flexibility,
quick turnaround time and superior coverages. Using a scale of 1 to 5, with 1
meaning "best," Cincinnati rated an overall score of 1.55.
