Cincinnati Financial Corporation Appoints Investor Relations Officer
  • New position supports continued responsiveness
  • Heather J. Wietzel brings 18 years of related experience

CINCINNATI, Jul 16, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Cincinnati Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: CINF) - Cincinnati Financial Corporation announced today that Heather J. Wietzel has been named as the company's first investor relations officer, with the title of assistant vice president of The Cincinnati Insurance Company. Wietzel joined the company on June 9, reporting to Chief Financial Officer Kenneth W. Stecher. She is responsible for managing relationships with Cincinnati Financial's investors.

"Heather served as an investor relations consultant to the company for several years," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John J. Schiff, Jr., CPCU. "She knows our company, its strengths and our commitment to communicating effectively with investors. In establishing this new position of investor relations officer, our Board has reaffirmed that commitment."

Wietzel is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University with more than 18 years of experience in providing and implementing strategic counsel for publicly traded companies. Cincinnati Financial was one of the clients she served as head of the investor relations practice for Dan Pinger Public Relations, a position she held for eight years. Under her counsel, Cincinnati Financial established programs that created investor interest and increased the number of analysts who follow the company. Before joining Dan Pinger, Wietzel was a partner at The Financial Relations Board in Chicago.
